WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - A man wanted for burglary in Union County was arrested in Williamson County.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies saw Charles D. Scott around 2:30 a.m. on August 7 in the alley near the intersection of Polk Street and 17th Street in Herrin.

They say Scott had an outstanding warrant for burglary out of Union County and was arrested.

Deputies say Scott had a variety of burglary tools on him during the arrest, including gloves, masks, keys, hand tools and other items commonly used to break into buildings.

They say they also found an alleged stolen item in Scott’s backpack.

Scott was cited for possession of burglary tools and taken to the Williamson County Jail.
