Temperatures have remained above normal across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Windsor, and Ottawa regions for much of August, with 0 mm of rain recorded so far this month.

In the past 60 days, areas east of Toronto have received less than 50 per cent of their usual rainfall, resulting in very hot and dry conditions.
