CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- To kick off the new school year, Charlottesville City Schools held a Back-to-School Bash on Sunday.
“For some families, this is that first contact before you even arrive in the school, and that's what being connected to your school means,” said CCS Superintendent Dr. Royal Gurley. “Not just being within the four walls of the school, but, you know, what happens in the community.”
