Police are appealing for information after a teenager was slashed across the face in a weekend disturbance in Paisley.
The 17-year-old was left seriously injured following the attack which took place on Gauze Street on Friday night.
Officers raced to the scene at 9.30pm following reports of a disturbance and found the youngster with a slash wound to his face. He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was treated and has since been discharged.
The suspect for the attack is described as white, in his late teens, of slim build and wearing a North Face blue hooded top with white horizontal stripes, and a black 'bum bag'. He ran off afterwards under the bridge at Gilmour Street towards Christie Lane.
