WARREN Warren Police arrested a man Saturday after he allegedly stabbed another man five times during an argument over a dog.
Investigating a reported stabbing at the Riverview Motel on Parkman Road NW Saturday afternoon, officers found the 54-year-old victim with five stab wounds to his chest, arm, and upper legs, according to a police report. The wounded man told officers the suspect, identified as Troy McGinnis, came to his room to argue about a dog they had exchanged money for.
The victim was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Warren Hospital for treatment of injuries that police said appeared not to be life-threatening.
Acting on a tip, police found McGinnis crouching near a gas station behind the motel.
The report states the knife appeared to have been recently cleaned
