Three left-turn locations on Eagle Road from Interstate 84 to State Highway 44 will be permanently closed in the name of safety.

The Idaho Transportation Department stated it will close the three turning lanes as part of a pilot project to improve safety along the heavily traveled corridor that can have upwards of 50,000 drivers traversing Eagle Road, also known as State Highway 55 , on a daily basis.
