The Celtics will see more of an old friend next season after Javonte Green found a new home. Shams Charania of ESPN.com reports that the former Boston wing is signing a one-year deal with the Detroit Pistons. Terms of the deal were not revealed, but it’s expected to be a veteran’s minimum deal with a partial guarantee. Green will take one of the final spots on the Pistons 15-man roster.
Green spent last season splitting time between the Pelicans and Cavaliers. He reached a buyout agreement with the Pelicans after the trade deadline and then signed with the Cavs in February.
