A break and enter at the City of Lacombe Public Works yard is being investigated by the Lacombe Police Service (LPS).

The theft occurred overnight between 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 7.

The suspect(s) cut a large hole in the fence at the Public Works yard located at 5444 56 Ave. and stole two pieces of equipment, including a Champion Generator and an Ammann 4-Stroke Jumping Jack valued at around $5,000.

LPS is asking for individuals who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the timeframe of the theft to contact them at 403-782-3279 or their local police agency.
