Thousands of people in four New Jersey towns are enduring their fourth day with water issues and a boil water advisory after a 30-inch water main broke in the city of Paterson on Friday.
The repairs for the 140-year-old water main , which broke Friday morning near Hinchliff Stadium, are estimated to be completed in the next 12 to 24 hours, said Bryan Frierson, a spokesperson for the Passaic Valley Water Commission.
Paterson, Prospect Park, Haledon and North Haledon have been impacted by the break.
Residents and businesses in Paterson and Prospect Park remain under the boil water advisory issued Friday, officials said.
