A "mindless" Leicestershire man made multiple threats to bomb several major English landmarks. Paul Fisher reported to numerous police forces he had planted bombs at railway stations and airports, prompting emergency responses from authorities across the country, but the claims were all fake.

The 61-year-old made the hoax calls on Monday, May 5 this year to several forces, with three calls made to the Metropolitan Police stating bombs had been planted at Heathrow Airport, St Pancras Railway Station and Scotland Yard. Fisher, of St Peters Path, Oadby , also made a call to West Midlands Police claiming there was a bomb at Birmingham Airport and contacted Leicestershire Police stating there was a bomb at a hotel in London.
