LAWRENCE, Kan. (KAKE) - Police say a woman in her 70s is recovering and one of her three dogs is dead after being attacked by an unleashed dog in Lawrence on Sunday.

Officers responded just before 2 p.m. Centennial Skate Park and arrived to find the attacking dog being pinned down by witnesses. The Lawrence Police Department said the woman was walking her dogs when the unleashed dog attacked her Chihuahua.
