Uber received reports of sexual misconduct every 8 minutes for 5 years, records show

(KTLA) - Uber received reports of sexual assault or sexual misconduct in the United States nearly every eight minutes between 2017 and 2022, according to sealed court records reviewed by The New York Times. This figure is far higher than the company has previously disclosed.

Publicly, Uber has promoted itself as one of the safest transportation options, publishing safety reports and marketing campaigns emphasizing that 99.9% of U.S. trips occur without incident.
