Netflix’s Narnia movie is officially filming, 2,503 days after the streamer first announced its plans to adapt the beloved C.S. Lewis novels back in October 2018.

This past weekend marked the first days of filming in and around Bank Station and The Royal Exchange in London for Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew , the highly anticipated Greta Gerwig film that’s set for a late 2026 release in theaters and on Netflix. Lavish sets have been built to recreate post-war Britain in the 1950s, with crowds of extras spotted on location alongside Gerwig herself.
