WEBSTER Parish, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Students in Webster Parish returned to class Monday, August 11, marking the first day of the new school year. At Webster Junior High, under the leadership of Principal Cortney McCall, they are setting up their students for fresh opportunities, while Minden High School is centering its efforts on academic achievement and raising test scores.
Principal Benjamin Bower of Minden High School, says the school will track student progress closely, using data to meet students where they are and adapting to Louisiana’s new accountability system in hopes of boosting performance.
