Ford made a major announcement at its Louisville Assembly Plant -- a multi-billion-dollar investment and a brand new vehicle.

Ford is launching a big, universal electric vehicle system and platform in Louisville, which will support the making of a new "self-sustaining" electric vehicle.
That vehicle, a midsize, electric pickup, will be built in Louisville starting in 2027.
Officials said the electric truck will be affordable, starting at $30,000.
President and CEO Jim Farley said the company will invest $2 billion into transforming and updating Louisville's plant.
