A New York judge has said the transcripts from the secret grand jury testimony that led to the sex trafficking indictment of Ghislaine Maxwell won’t be released.

Last month, federal prosecutors asked to unseal the documents as suspicion grew over what the government knew about Jeffrey Epstein.

Epstein died whilst awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges. Maxwell was later convicted of helping Epstein prey on underage girls.

It is unclear what the documentation would have revealed, as the Justice Department acknowledged that the transcripts contained no testimony from witnesses who weren't members of law enforcement.
