Syracuse Orange's 2-way freshman Demetres Samuel named top-10 frosh in college football

The hype around Demetres Samuel is real.

Syracuse's potential two-way freshman, who is still just 17 years old, just had the bar raised in a big way by ESPN on Monday.

The national outlet ranked Samuel as No. 8 on its "top freshmen" list for the 2025 college football season.

Not bad for a guy who was outside the top-200 on that same outlet's recruiting ranks.
