NAMPA, Idaho — The Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) announced the Nampa Community Reentry Center resident who walked away from a job site Monday morning is back in custody.

IDOC asked the public for assistance in locating Justin Wallis after he was last seen at his job site in Nampa at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was urged to call 911.

Wallis was previously convicted on burglary charges in Ada County, according to IDOC. He was parole eligible in 2018, and his sentence was scheduled to be completed on Jan. 6, 2026.

The Idaho Department of Correction around 5:30 p.m. Monday said the walkaway has been located and is back in its custody.
