Andy Moran in the frame for Mayo return

The former Derry manager Paddy Tally is part of Andy Moran's proposed Mayo backroom team as the county board draws closer to making a decision about who will replace Kevin McStay as manager.

An appointment is expected early this week and Moran is thought to be favourite, though the committee charged with finding a successor to McStay are also believed to have been considering Tony McEntee, the former All-Ireland winner with Armagh who recently stepped down as Sligo manager after four years in charge.
