A record number of residential property listings in July make it a great time to buy a home, the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors says.

Last month’s 276 new residential listings in July on record, the association said in its monthly update.

New listings were seven per cent above the five-year average and 25.1 per cent above the 10-year average for the month.

The 567 active residential listings at month’s end was up 16.7 per cent from the end of July 2024, the association said. This was also 41.5 per cent above the five-year average and 60.3 per cent above the 10-year average for July.

“Active listings haven’t been this high in the month of July in a decade,” the association said.
