CHARLOTTE — Xavier Legette knew right away he'd messed up.
As teammates pulled him away from Browns safety Rayshawn Jenkins after the two got into a fight during Friday's preseason game, the second-year receiver immediately recognized where he'd gone wrong.
"It was just a little something that had happened," Legette explained Monday, adding it was "something like" emotions got the best of him.
Legette apologized for the occurrence that led to his ejection on Friday night, following the Panthers' training camp practice on Monday. He was forced to watch the rest of Friday night's preseason game from the locker room, where he tweeted an initial apology.
