Jobs Guru James Innes has some advice for reader Stacey, whose workmate keeps making sexist jokes in front of her. Can she still complain – even though it’s not her in the firing line? Unfortunately, sexism at work is still a thing (Image: Getty Images)
Question:
I have started a new project at work and I'm working with a male colleague for the first time, as well as two other women I have worked with before.
Things got off to a good start, however one of my female colleagues made a mistake and ever since then the male colleague has made incessant sexist comments to her, to the point where working with him is unbearable.
I've tried to encourage her to complain and she won't, but I can see it's bothering her. Can I submit a sexism complaint on her behalf?
