SHREVEPORT, La. — The YWCA of Northwest Louisiana will celebrate its centennial year during its annual Women Who Care, Share luncheon on Thursday at Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino.

The fundraiser runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and supports the YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. This year’s theme, 100 Years of Empowering Women, will focus on challenges faced by women in the workplace, the value of membership in organizations, and the future of young women.

The event will feature a panel discussion with Vivian Andrews, president of La Ve’ Consulting; Erica R. Bryant, parish administrator and CEO for the Caddo Commission; Linda Biernacki, president of Fire Tech Systems; and Rachel Scott, YWCA VISTA supervisor. Attendees
