A neighbour of a proposed five-storey supportive housing project next to the George Street ambulance station in Sarnia says he believes opposition to the project means it’s doomed to fail and should be built at another location.
Chris Beausoleil, who lives a street away from the land and is part of a neighbourhood group opposing the project, was among more than 30 speakers on the agenda of a Sarnia council public consultation meeting Monday at city hall on plans for the 50-unit building by Indwell, an Ontario charity Lambton County has been working with to develop specialized housing to address homelessness.
