Costco’s cult-favorite $1.50 hot-dog-and-drink combo is changing.
Don’t panic. The Issaquah-headquartered company hasn’t changed the meal deal’s price; the company’s 89-year-old co-founder once said he would be dead before that happened. (He’s alive, but retired.)
Instead, fountain soda dispensers at the company’s warehouse stores in Woodinville and Shoreline are among those that are red instead of blue for the first time since 2013. The change comes about six months after Costco’s CEO announced the company would switch from selling PepsiCo products in its food courts to those of Coca-Cola starting this summer.
