WALDORF, Md. — The Waldorf, Maryland community is mourning after a house fire killed six people Sunday morning. Four children and two adults were killed in the blaze.

On Monday, neighbors came to visit what is left of the home on the 3000 block of Declaration Court North, some leaving flowers and notes to remember the family that lived there. Video taken by a neighbor shows the fire engulfing the home just after 8:30am.

"It's just so sad. It just broke my heart to see,” said neighbor Wanda Lipinski. “And it happened so quickly, so fast, I never ever experienced fire that quick."

Fire officials said nine people lived in the home. One adult wasn’t there at the time of the fire, and two others escaped safely. Six people died inside, four of them children.
