FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — The 2026 FIFA World Cup is expected to bring a couple million people from around the world to the greater New England area, and with all those soccer fans, FIFA is looking for some help.
World Cup organizers are hoping to recruit 65,000 volunteers in North America, including thousands in Southern New England, to help make sure the tournament runs smoothly.
With 16 host cities, the tournament will be spread out across the continent. Seven matches will be played at Gillette Stadium, putting Foxboro on the international stage.
