Brazilian club Palmeiras have opened talks with Rangers over a potential deal for Jefte - according to reports. ‌

The wing-back has played in three of Gers competitive matches so far this season and has made back to back starts against Dundee in the Premiership and Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League . ‌

But Brazilian transfer guru Andre Hernan claims that talks are ongoing to bring the 21-year-old back to his homeland. ‌

He claims that Palmeiras chiefs are determined to land the Jefte , who was signed for Gers from Fluminense by Phillippe Clement last summer after catching the eye in a loan spell in Cyprus with APOEL.

Hernan adds that landing Jefte could cost the Brazilian club as much as €6million (£5.1million), with the player still under contract at Ibrox until June
