The 19-year-old disabled man whose body was recovered Friday afternoon died of “drowning, manner of suicide,” the Toledo Lucas County Coroner said.
Dr. Thomas Blomquist formally identified Andreas Madrigal Monday.
There was a “repeated threat to jump off a bridge,” Dr. Blomquist said.
In a Facebook post last week, Mr. Madrigal’s family pleaded with the public to help locate him. “If anyone encounters my 19-year-old autistic son Andreas Madrigal, please contact the authorities immediately. He is experiencing a crisis,” the message said.
