SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Radio personality Jay Fotsch announced on Monday that this will be his last week on air.
Fotsch announced his radio retirement on his Facebook page, stating his last day will be on Friday, Aug. 15. after 25 years.
"It’s hard to put into words what these years have meant to me. I’ve shared coffee with you during your morning drive, laughed with you through the good days, and leaned on you during the tough ones," said the Facebook post. "Radio has a magic that only works because of the connection between the person behind the mic and the people listening, and I’ve felt that connection every single day."
Fotsch said he is staying in Springfield and will still continue at the Springfield Cardinals games and other community events. He has not revealed what he is doing next
