CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- From high school tracks to college stadiums and even the Olympic Trials, Erika Pierce has spent much of her life chasing finish lines.

Pierce ran at the University of Virginia in the early 1990s and also did the heptathlon.
