Five people were injured in a shooting on Monday afternoon in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood, fire officials confirmed.

The incident was reported before 4 p.m. at 43rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue.

Footage captured by Sky 5 showed a portion of 43rd Street blocked off with crime scene tape, surrounded by several Chicago police squad vehicles.

According to a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson, five people were injured and taken to local hospitals. Three victims, two women and one man, were seriously injured, the spokesperson said. A fourth victim, an adult male, was listed in fair condition at a local hospital. Another adult male also sustained injuries and was hospitalized in good condition, officials said.
