A dramatic water main break caused a geyser that sent water shooting into the air Monday afternoon in Norwood Park Township.

NBC Chicago's Sky 5 helicopter captured footage of water gushing high above the ground and onto nearby lawns along West Bryn Mawr Avenue near Manor Lane. Water doused a portion of the road, along with a green space, causing authorities to block the area off.

Video showed an adjacent street appeared to have been covered with water. Details on what caused the water main break, and if repairs were imminent, weren't immediately available.
