LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A person is dead after a crash in Oldham County Monday, Aug. 11.

The crash happened around 12:15 p.m. near the intersection of US 42 and Tirbracken Lane. Police said the car had run off the roadway and hit a tree, ejecting the sole person inside the vehicle.

Brian Rea, 53, died before he could be taken to the hospital.

Oldam County police continue to investigate.
