BANGOR -- The Bangor City Hall is officially open again, after a 20-month renovation process.

According to communications manager, David Warren, the first floor of the City Hall is now open for customer service needs.

Warren says they’ve upgraded security devices, accessibility features, and the clerk, Treasury lobby and Council of Chambers room are brand new

“Energy efficient improvements throughout the building, HVAC system, so the building is far more energy efficient. We’re talking about a building that was first constructed in 1915, so it needed a lot of improvements in that regard," says Warren.

Warren says these renovations would not have taken place without public vote.
