What we know

Roadwork is anticipated to begin Aug. 18 and last roughly six months, according to a city spokesperson. Contractor Alpha Paving will be completing the work.

Planned enhancements include the roundabout, improvements to the shared-use path for both pedestrians and cyclists, and new safety upgrades at the intersection.

The $750,000 roundabout is a part of the larger South Lamar Boulevard Corridor Construction Program and funded by $482 million in voter-approved 2016 Mobility Bonds .
