LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you had an appointment at a regional driver licensing office in Kentucky on Monday, you will have to reschedule.

At about 11 a.m., the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announced a "statewide network interruption" is responsible for the sudden appointment cancellations.

Appointment holders and walk in customers were given renewal forms, passes to return for expedited service or codes to return home and renew online later, according to a social media post by KYTC.

"We appreciate the public’s patience as our vendor works to restore services as quickly as possible," KYTC said in a statement.

It is unclear if the outage will be resolved by tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 12.
