SUNBURY — Resident James Brumbach was selected Monday night to fill a vacancy on Sunbury City Council after weeks of uncertainty.

Brumbach will fill the seat left vacant when Lisa Martina resigned. Martina resigned after winning the nomination for city treasurer in the May primary. She has since been appointed to the position which was left vacant when former Treasurer Kevin Troup resigned to seek a city council seat.
