HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WPTA) - A Huntington shelter said they are starting off their week with gratitude.

The Huntington County Humane Society shared a heartfelt post on its Facebook page on Monday, thanking George Michael, who used his birthday wish to gather donations to support local animals, and the Sullivan family, who donated in honor of their grandma’s pup, Sweet Pea, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge.

“To both George Michael and the Sullivans: you’ve reminded us that kindness comes in moments of joy and even in times of loss,” the post reads. “You’ve made a difference for so many paws, and we are so, so grateful.”
