The Indiana Fever entered the week fifth in the WNBA at 18-14, but their guard depth has thinned dramatically over the past few weeks.

On Friday, August 8, one day after the team's 95-60 loss to the Phoenix Mercury, the Fever announced that both Sydney Colson (torn ACL) and Aari McDonald (broken bone in right foot) would miss the remainder of the season.

This news came amid an extended absence from star Caitlin Clark, who has missed Indiana's last 10 games with a groin injury, having only played in 13 of 32 games this season due to multiple injuries.

As a result, the Fever signed veteran guard Odyssey Sims to a hardship contract on Sunday.
