Valparaiso-based HealthLinc is expanding its services in Mishawaka.

The federally qualified health center that started as the Hilltop Neighborhood House clinic and childcare center in Valpo in 1996 renovated the unused portion of its clinic at 420 W. 4th St. in Mishawaka after getting funding from the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County and other private donors. HealthLinc said the project will allow it to expand its healthcare services for the underserved.

It expects it will be able to treat 4,667 more patients a year following the expansion.
