Two people, including a teenager, were killed in a crash involving a go-kart in Bedford County on Aug. 6.

State police said that Jason Diehl, 21, and a 17-year-old girl were riding in a “Fox Vortex” go-kart along Allegheny Road in Harrison Township at about 9 p.m. when a truck crossed a double-yellow line near the intersection of Milligan’s Cove Road and struck the kart.

The teen was ejected from the go-kart but Diehl was trapped inside of it, WTAJ reported. The kart came to a stop along the shoulder of the southbound lane, while the truck went off the roadway and hit a tree.

Both Diehl and the teen were killed in the crash. The truck driver was not injured, police said.
