WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Loved ones are remembering Robbie Brewer, the driver who died Saturday night at Bowman Gray Stadium during a race after suffering a medical emergency.

Brewer, 53, was a beloved father, friend and partner who was just a few weeks away from marrying his fiancée.

On Monday, WFMY News 2's Hannah Hill traveled to Winston-Salem to hear more from those who knew Brewer personally.

Brad Robbins was rushing to catch the end of Saturday's race when he heard the crash.
