A Loudoun County woman remains in jail without bond on a charge of stabbing another person during a domestic incident on Friday in Front Royal.

Melissa Sue Erwin, 45, of 20591 Broadnax Place, Ashburn, appeared in Warren County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Monday. Erwin is charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding. Judge Nancie Williams ordered Erwin to remain in custody at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail. The judge scheduled Erwin’s next court appearance for Oct. 2.

An emergency protective order filed in the court was issued on Saturday with Erwin as the respondent.

Front Royal Police Department officers dispatched to the 200 block of East Main Street at approximately 11:17 p.m. for a report of a stabbing, according to a news release.
