TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A Tallahassee man will spend 12 years in prison for a crash that killed a grandmother and disabled her grandson .

Henry Wilson learned his sentence last week after being found guilty of vehicular homicide earlier this summer.

The crash happened in March 2020 on West Tennessee Street near Dixie Drive.

Prosecutors say Wilson was going 96 miles an hour on West Tennessee.

He swerved to avoid a crash, veered onto the sidewalk and ran over Wendy Woodruff, who was walking her baby grandson in a stroller.

Woodruff died. The baby survived, but now has lifelong disabilities.

After Wilson’s prison term, he will have three years of probation plus community service, and he can’t drive again.
