The Patriots made a pair of moves on Monday, essentially swapping defensive tackles.

New England signed veteran Kyle Peko and released rookie Bryce Ganious. The 21-year-old Ganious was invited to the Patriots’ rookie minicamp during the spring. He was an undrafted free agent.

The Patriots signed Ganious last week .

Peko’s signing reunites him with Mike Vrabel, who coached the veteran in two stints with the Tennessee Titans in 2021 and 2023.

He also had two stints with the Denver Broncos before he made stops with the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Las Vegas Raiders and the Detroit Lions. In 47 games (14 starts), Peko has amassed 58 total tackles, two sacks, two passes defended and one forced fumble.
