A man who fatally shot another in a Nampa hotel parking lot last week has been charged with first-degree murder, according to a news release from the Nampa Police Department.

Saengutone Ty Maria, 33, killed another man on Friday at 9:10 a.m. outside of a hotel in the 4100 block of East Flamingo Ave., Nampa police said. When officers arrived at the scene, which is just south of the Interstate 84 and Garrity Boulevard interchange, the victim had died of multiple gunshot wounds, the news release states.

Police say that Maria fled the scene but was later located in Ada County and arrested by officers with the Boise Police Department.
