MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - The man accused of killing four women in the Portland metro area appeared in a Multnomah County courtroom Monday morning.

Prosecutors say Jesse Calhoun killed 22-year-old Kristin Smith, who was reported missing in December 2022.

Her remains were found in February 2023 in southeast Portland.

Calhoun has been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree abuse of a corpse in connection with Smith’s death.

Calhoun was already indicted on three counts of second-degree murder and three counts of second-degree abuse of a corpse in May 2024, in connection with the deaths of 33-year-old Joanna Speaks, 24-year-old Charity Lynn Perry, and 31-year old Bridget Leanne Webster.
