The body of an unidentified man was recovered from the Arkansas River in Wagoner County northwest of Muskogee on Monday morning, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Troopers did not provide much information but indicated in their report that the death is believed to have occurred due to drowning.
The body was found in the river south of the 3300 block of West 50th Street North, near Porter, at 8:19 a.m. and was recovered from the water at 10:30, the OHP reported.
The man was not wearing a personal flotation device, the report says.
