Oregon defensive back Trey McNutt is out indefinitely after suffering a broken right leg during fall camp.
A true freshman from Cleveland and the highest rated safety to ever sign with the Ducks , McNutt has been with the team since enrolling in school shortly after signing day in December.
McNutt was a five-star recruit, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Peter Nakos of On3 was the first to report on McNutt's injury.
McNutt's absence limits the Ducks' depth at safety where Dillon Thieneman, Kingston Lopa, Peyton Woodyard and Aaron Flowers are vying for playing time. McNutt was expected to contend as well.
The Ducks need to replace both starting safeties from last season.
